Withdraw Revised Draft SGEIS Coalition Letter Receives Terrific Press Coverage/Thanks Mayor Ryan/See You Thursday in Binghamton

Greetings,

I am very pleased to let you know that the Withdraw the Revised Draft SGEIS coalition letter now has nearly 3,300 signatories and received terrific press coverage tonight in Binghamton. This is a perfect lead-in to Thursday's DEC hearing. Wow!!!

See: http://www.wbng.com/news/local/Thousands-Want-DEC-Draft-Withdrawn-133923...

Please join me in thanking Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan for his support and political courage. If you see him, please thank him personally and shake his hand. His leadership is incredible to behold.

The coalition letter is the main line of defense against DEC adopting a Final SGEIS and permitting horizontal hydrofracturing in New York. Beat the bushes. Get more signatories. See: http://www.toxicstargeting.com/MarcellusShale/cuomo/coalition_letter/2011

I AGAIN IMPLORE EACH AND EVERY CONCERNED CITIZEN, ELECTED OFFICIAL AND GROUP TO SHOW UP AT THURSDAY'S DEC HEARING. WE NEED TO DWARF THE OPPOSITION. GET THERE FOR A BIG NOON RALLY.

Onward and upward. Pour it on. Thanks so much for all your help.

Best,

Walter

The DEC hearing starts at 1:00 PM. This is your chance to spell out concerns regarding the woefully inadequate and incomplete RD SGEIS. I will post my testimony for your review before Thursday.

Please note that there could be fierce competition for a limited number of slots to testify. The earlier you show up to get in line, the better.

Where: The Forum Theater, 236 Washington Street, Binghamton, NY

When: Gather at 11:30 AM FOR THE NOON RALLY, IF NOT EARLIER, Thursday, November 17th

There will be second hearing session at 6:00 PM. There also will be a second gathering of activists at 5:00 PM.

Check out the hearing schedule and important rules at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/78246.html

Finally, the coalition letter continues to get more press coverage: http://www.whcu870.com/pages/11456684.php?contentType=4&contentId=9359256

Onward and upward. Big Finish!!! No excuses.

Thanks for all your help.

Best,

Walter
