Coalition Letter Up to Nearly 11,000 Signatories/Contribute/More Press/Binghamton Ban?

Greetings,

The Coalition Letter which requests that Governor Cuomo immediately withdraw the Revised Draft SGEIS has almost reached 11,000 signatories!!! I am giving you a big heads up that more heavy-hitters and important groups are about to sign on. We could be about to make a huge quantum jump.

1. Many people have inquired if they can financially support Toxics Targeting's efforts to safeguard New York from Marcellus Shale hydrofracturing hazards. Thank you so much for your willingness to help.

2. We continue to crank up the heat with intensely focused press coverage. Check out this article that draws a crucially important line in the sand: http://www.toxicstargeting.com/MarcellusShale/news/2011-12-17/numerous-h...

3. I testified last week at a State Senate hearing on gas drilling wastewater concerns. This issue is the Achilles Heel of Marcellus Shale Horizontal Hydrofracturing.

You can see my testimony at: http://www.toxicstargeting.com/MarcellusShale/documents/testimony/2011/1...

You can see video of me testifying at: http://shaleshockmedia.org/2011/12/14/16-walter-hang-canandaigua-frackin...

Finally, Binghamton could very well adopt a two-year hydrofracturing ban within city limits. This would send an extremely powerful message to Governor Cuomo that the Southern Tier does not want to be DEC's regulatory learning experience or a gas drilling guinea pig.

A public hearing is scheduled for TODAY at 6:30 PM in Binghamton City Council Chambers at 38 Hawley Street. A vote could also be taken. Please show up early and give your support to this effort.

Thanks so much for all your help. Stay tuned for more important developments.

Onward and upward,

Walter
