Greetings,
I am on bended knee imploring Fractivists from all over New York to Vote in TOMORROW'S Democratic Gubernatorial Primary. The outcome of that election could very well decide the fate of shale fracking in our state. Each vote cast will be more important than you can imagine.
Tim Wu Joins 25,000+ Signatories to Two Key Coalition Letters Which Request That Governor Cuomo Withdraw His Draft SGEIS
I am immensely pleased to report that Tim Wu, Zephyr Teachout's Lieutenant Governor running mate, is a signatory to the two coalition letters which request that Governor Cuomo withdraw his Marcellus Shale Draft SGEIS (Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement) because it is nearly five years old, lacks any current information whatsoever and cannot protect New York from fracking hazards due to 17 grave shortcomings.
I confirmed this with Mr. Wu's campaign staff. Thank you, Tim, for your support. You are joined by more than 25,000 signatories to those coalition letters. Welcome aboard.
Key Governor and Lieutenant Governor Democratic Tickets are Diametrically Opposed on the Issue of Shale Fracking
Fractivists now have an absolutely clear choice between the two key Gubernatorial tickets on the Democratic Primary ballot.
Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu signed our coalition letters to halt the DOH "review" and withdraw the Draft SGEIS. They promised that their administration would ban shale fracking on their first day in office. Both Zephyr and Tim have repeatedly met with Fractivists from all over New York and asked for their votes.
Andrew Cuomo supports shale fracking, but has not been able to make a final decision to permit shale fracking to begin because we successfully blocked completion of his secret Department of Health "review" and adoption of his outdated Draft SGEIS.

Mr. Cuomo's running mate for Lieutenant Governor, Kathy Hochul, has not signed either of our Withdraw the Draft SGEIS coalition letters.
Vote, Vote, Vote; Get Out the Vote
Against that background, your help is critically important. Tomorrow's Primary outcome will be determined by the relatively small fraction of all registered Democrats who show up to vote. Here is how you can help win the day:
A. SUPPORT AND VOLUNTEER ASAP FOR THE CANDIDATES OF YOUR CHOICE. It is not too late by any means. A day is an eternity in politics.
B. ORGANIZE EVERY FRIEND, COLLEAGUE, FAMILY MEMBER AND GROUP YOU KNOW TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ALL VOTE TOMMORROW. Each and every Fractivist should get at least 50 voters to the polls.
Down the Homestretch They Come
It is crucial to understand that Andrew Cuomo has demonstrated zero inclination to block shale fracking in New York for more than four years. He easily could have halted his secret DOH "review" and his outdated Draft SGEIS as more than 50,000 signatories to our various coalition letters respectfully requested. Alternatively, he could have adopted a shale fracking ban.
He failed to take any of those actions. His record speaks for itself. There can be no doubt about where he stands on shale fracking.
Given Andrew Cuomo's staunch refusal to fulfill our coalition letter requests despite extraordinarily well publicized criticism, New Yorkers must assume that he remains dedicated to doing everything he can to permit shale fracking in New York.
Conclusion
The only thing that matters right now is Getting out the Vote.
Onward and upward. Bust a gut. Big Finish!!!
Very best regards,
Walter
