Greetings,
At the only televised Gubernatorial debate last Wednesday, Governor Cuomo made some extremely troubling statements regarding his DOH "review" according to Jon Campbell of Gannett News and other reporters.
BUFFALO -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo turned a few heads at the WNED-TV studio when he appeared to set a deadline on the state's ongoing review of hydraulic fracturing, saying the state's long-running analysis of the technique should be completed "by the end of the year."
When asked about his remark after the debate, Cuomo repeated it.
"I said it should be done by the end of the year," Cuomo said. "But I have previously said we expect it to be done by the end of the year."
With all respect, I do not believe the Governor has publicly stated that deadline before now. This is extraordinarily important news.

The End of New York's Marcellus Shale Fracking Moratorium Could be Near
Governor Cuomo's comments drive home that we must maximize public pressure before November 4th as well as each and every ensuing day to halt the secret DOH "review" of the outdated shale fracking "health impact analysis" in the Revised Draft SGEIS.
If this cannot be achieved, New York's going on seven-year shale fracking moratorium could be coming to an end. If the DOH "review" is completed, a Final SGEIS could be adopted without further revision or any regulatory rulemaking proceeding.
More Great News Coverage

Take Urgent Action Until Election Day
Our game plan remains exactly the same down the homestretch until election day:
Bird-Dog Andrew Cuomo at every campaign stop he makes. Alert your local list servs the moment you hear he will be in your area. Bring every sign you have. Be respectful, but yell your heads off.
Try to get press coverage for the key message that Andrew Cuomo must halt his secret DOH "review" and his outdated Draft SGEIS because both proceedings are based on information that is five years old.
Make the point that New York's shale fracking moratorium must be continued until a comprehensive shale fracking "Public Health Impact Study" is conducted openly and transparently with full public participation.
Sign the coalition letter with nearly 2,200 signatories that spells out those critical requests: http://www.toxicstargeting.com/MarcellusShale/letters/2014/6/23/coalitio...
Those signatories referenced hundreds of grassroots groups that are on the front lines of the battle to safeguard New York from shale fracking. Check them out: http://www.toxicstargeting.com/MarcellusShale/documents/2014-10-02/group...
